Lighter materials, fewer adjustments

And i’m seeing a steady shift to bio-acetate and beta-titanium at my accounts this spring. Sub-18 g frames with screwless hinges are cutting adjustment visits for progressive wearers, and bio-acetate’s cleaner heat-bend around 65C in beads is reducing stress whitening — are you seeing the same or sticking with classic acetate?

Same here — “sub-18 g” screwless has trimmed our aftercare, but I still keep classic acetate for thick minus jobs that need a stiffer eyewire. For bio-acetate we hold the beads near “65C”, warm temples about 25 s, then cold-block to lock the curve — less whitening and more time for coffee; noticing any creep on softer beta‑ti bridges?

Seeing the same — bio-acetate bends clean at “65°C,” and we ‘set’ the bend with a quick cool-air blast to stop spring-back, which cut readjusts more than the hinge choice. On beta-ti we micro-bend pad arms to lock panto/vertex for progressives; only caveat is ultra-light temples creep on oily skin, so we swap to tackier pads — @zara_holt87 you seeing the same?
